Raipur/ Raising questions on not suspending the Bemetara District Collector in the case of taking Rs 10,000 bribe from PM Housing beneficiaries in Bemetara district, senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that during the Sushasan Tihar in Korba district, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had warned that the collector would be held responsible and suspended if even a rupee bribe is taken in the name of PM Housing at any level. But Rs 10,000 bribe was taken from the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas in Bemetara district. Three officers Neera Sahu, Narayan Sahu, Ishwari Sahu were suspended after being found guilty in the investigation. But why has the Bemetara Collector not been suspended yet as per the Chief Minister’s warning? Was the Chief Minister’s warning just empty talk? Did the Chief Minister give such statements to get applause from the public, to garner applause, to make headlines in the media? Do the senior officials not take the Chief Minister’s announcement seriously? If the head of the state makes any announcement, it is followed to the letter.
Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that Sushasan Tihar is proving to be a sham and hoax when the public announcement of the Chief Minister is not being implemented, in such a situation it is impossible to resolve the applications and demands received from the public. The people of the state have been saying for a long time that the Chief Minister has no control over the government and it is being proved true today when the announcement of the Chief Minister is not being implemented.
Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that corruption has become a norm in the BJP government which talks of zero tolerance. No work gets done in any department without tea and water transactions; the public has become frustrated and troubled after making rounds of the departments, this is the reason that more than 40 lakh applications have been received in Sushasan Tihar and now if the number of applications increases to one crore in the third phase too, it is not an exaggeration but there is no guarantee that they will be resolved. In fact, the government is completely toothless. The government has no control over the administrative machinery. It is not clear who is running the government. There are huge differences in the cabinet of the Chief Minister. There is a tug-of-war due to which the common public is getting troubled.
